Congratulations! You've survived the holidays! How was your New Year's? If it was anything like mine, you're probably still in recovery mode.

A friend of mine had such an epic New Year's Eve, they've decided to take a break from alcohol for a whole month! I struggled to comprehend as they explained their reason for going 31 days without cocktails, without wine, not even a single beer. You mean, no Manhattan after a hard day at the office? Dinner with Mom without the Pinot? Gasp, no Negronis...for a month!

After I got over the initial shock, I decided to be supportive. That's what friends are for. So I scoured the internets and found mocktail recipes so good they have me considering going off the sauce. (No, not really. But they're still really good!) I've even thrown in a couple of my own.

If you're like my friend and have decided to take a momentary break from imbibing, I wish you all the luck! I'll still be here mixing up the cocktails. Afterall, someone's got to pick up the slack.

5. Top with club soda.

2. Blackberry Vanilla Mocktail.

A yummy refreshing mocktail that you'll want to enjoy post January. Perhaps with gin?

3. Virgin Mary

Just because you're off the sauce doesn't mean you can't enjoy brunch. This non-alcoholic version of the Bloody Mary still packs a ton of flavor. The perfect accompaniment to that eggs benny!

4. Nojito

I love this mocktail mostly for the name. It's still as sweet and refreshing as the original. Go ahead and down a few. It's alcohol free!!

5. Non-Alcoholic Sangria

A non-boozy sangria that you'll actually enjoy? Insane? Or maybe it's so sane that it just blew your mind. (I just had to insert a Seinfeld reference). Think I'll be keeping this recipe in my back pocket for future showers.

6. Ramos (Non)Gin Fizz

This temperance version of one of my favorite cocktails has got me questioning...everything! Go enjoy. I'll just be here experiencing the cocktail version of an existential crisis.

7. Coffee Milk

If you're a coffee addict like myself, you'll look for any excuse to enjoy coffee. You maybe temporarily off the alcohol, you're not about to give up your other favorite beverage.

8. Very Berry Hibiscus Tea Refresher

Speaking of coffee, how about this knock-off version of a popular Starbucks drink?

9. Grapefruit-Rosemary Mocktail

I love the combination of fruit and herbs. The addition of rosemary takes this simple mocktail to new heights.

10. Lemon, Ginger & Lavender Toddy

Thought you'd have to go without your favorite hot beverage? Well, have no fear. You won't be left out in the cold with this delightful booze-free take on the Toddy.
