I based this cocktail off of the American Trilogy cocktail from Little Branch in New York City. It's a nice combination of whiskey, brandy, orange, and bitters.

American Variation

2oz rye whiskey (Sazerac 6 yr)

.5oz apple brandy (Clear Creek Distillery)

.5oz Grand Marnier

1 dash Peychaud's bitters

1 dash Angostura bitters

Add all ingredients to a rocks glass. Add a big ice chunk. Stir. Add a lemon peel to the top.
