Today we celebrate what would have been the 125th birthday of Sir Charles Spencer “Charlie” Chaplin, KBE, born on this date back in 1889. Just case you’ve been living under a rock, Chaplin was an English comic actor, film director and composer, most well known for his work during the silent film era. He became the most famous film star in the world before the end of World War I and today ranks as one of the most important figures in cinema history.

• 1 ounce apricot brandy
• 1 ounce sloe gin
• 1 ounce lemon juice

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add ingredients. Shake, and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
