I currently loving all the fall sweet treats! I recently made a stop at my local doughnut shop Top Pot and literally lost all self restraint. I picked up several fall treats including a massive apple fritter and Seahawks themed chocolate doughnuts. I get inspiration for cocktails in all kinds of places and this doughnut shop sparked some ideas. i decided that a apple fritter would be the perfect match for a fall inspired boozy milkshake. What is your ideal boozy fall shake?
Recipe: Apple Fritter Bourbon Shake
Ingredients
2 ounces of bourbon
4 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream (one saved to add as a garnish)
1 cup apple cider
½ cup of apple fritter chopped (I froze the apple fritter for about 1 hour so that it blend better into the milkshake)
¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Garnish: cinnamon stick and ground cinnamon
Instructions:
In a blender combine bourbon, ice cream, apple cider, apple fritter, and cinnamon
Blend until desired consistency
Note: add more ice cream if mixture is too thin or more apple cider if it is too thick
Pour blended mixture into serving glass
Top with additional ice cream scoop
Garnish with cinnamon stick and ground cinnamon
Cheers!
