NEW OPENINGS

BOTTLE & BINE: Right before the new year, three esteemed women in the industry opened this midtown restaurant. Bottle & Bine (bine: a botanist term that refers to the stem off of which the hop grows) has a dual focus on craft beer and stateside wine alongside a globally inspired American menu from chef Angie Berry, who has been the chef de cuisine at Asiate in the Mandarin Oriental New York for more than 4 years. Gina Goyette, from Andrew Carmellini's Noho Hospitality Group, is the sommelier, and the beer program is overseen by Carolyn Pincus, who has earned accolades for her elevated beer lists at places like The Stag's Head. Working alongside the women is mixologist Moses Laboy, who's worked at acclaimed places like Gotham Bar & Grill and Red Rooster. Be it a rosé from the North Fork, a local craft beer, or a signature cocktail like the seasonal Apollo, this American restaurant is fit for all thirsts. View the full booze menu…

SEXY TACO/DIRTY CASH: Last month a spicy new spot opened on Harlem’s happening restaurant row. This is NOT a Mexican restaurant, but a San Francisco Bay Area-style street food joint, where Chef/Owner Brian Washington-Palmer hails from. In the Cali-inspired retro/artsy space you can get 2 tacos for just $8-$10 (with a third for just $2 more). Other comforting highlights include the Sexy Mac and Dominican Chimi Burger. Wash down the flavors with a cocktail from the racy menu like the Love, Sex, and Kung Fu or Kermits Revenge. PLUS the bottomless brunch is already in effect: brunch entrée + $12 = 90 minutes AYCD (All You Can Drink). View the full booze menu…
