This whisky is aged in ex-bourbon casks for more than 10 years, which gives it a nice peaty spicy complexity. Its dark amber color is reminiscent of having a nice hot chocolate on a chilly day.
Name: Bunnahabhain Ceobanach Single Malt Limited Edition Scotch
Region: Islay, Scotland
Nose: You can smell the peat right off at the beginning. Then there's warm toffee, salt, herbal and floral notes. There's a lemony note towards the back of the nose, when you smell with your mouth partially open.
Palate: Smoke, Vanilla, Cream, Custard and more peat. Salty towards the back of the palate with more oak.
Finish: The finish is quite short with more peat and herbal notes.
