Coffee and Doughnut Bourbon Shake

Seven readers love this post.
The recipe today combines two of my favorite things: Bourbon and Coffee. Randomly, I started thinking about boozy milkshakes and wanted to create something different. This week I was in Pike Place Market and stumbled upon a doughnut vendor. It’s one of those vendors that you can smell a mile away. Fried mini doughnuts had to come home with me but I also had to justify the purchase. Meaning I had to justify to myself why I needed to go home with a bunch of fried doughnuts given my vague commitment to start eating healthy this week. So, I thought about it and decided I had to make some kind of doughnut cocktail. Then it occurred to me that some kind of “breakfast” milkshake would soon be in the works. I added coffee, bourbon, doughnuts, and gelato to the blender which created some kind of awesome ordeal. This milkshake is beyond words amazing. The fried doughnuts, bourbon, and coffee are so good together. It is your weekend breakfast in a cup plus an added benefit of bourbon. I would serve this at a dinner party as dessert to really freak people out. I love having coffee after dinner and this is coffee service and dessert all in one. I am telling you to make this ASAP because it is that good! Coffee+Bourbon+Doughnuts+Gelato=Happy Life- Make Wednesday count with this shake!
