Coppercraft Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskies Review

First thought before I did my research on this was “it has a young-old thing going on”… turns out there’s a reason for it, but not quite the way I was expecting with the youngest being 4 years. Anyways, the aroma of the Coppercraft Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a bit basic and gets some of that young oak found in craft whiskeys which translates a bit to the palate.

Compared to the aroma the palate takes a slight downturn and I get a bit more young spirit; I was shocked it was 4-years-old. Must have been only on the lowest rack or ground floor because I don’t get much oak-driven maturity out of the palate. The Finish ends up pleasant, but again not showing what I’d associate with 4 years of maturity. Still, not bad – quite enjoyable actually, just not robust or complex.

SCORE: 81/100 (B-)
