It’s universally known and agreed on that there are way too many food and drink “holidays” that circulate the internet and social platforms each day. Whether you subscribe to those feelings or not ~ it’s always a wonderful excuse to indulge.

World Gin Day, a global celebration and excuse to drink gin, is Saturday, June 9th and a legitimate day to imbibe on cocktails with botanical based spirits. To help the celebration take a look at a few gin based cocktails you can shake up and enjoy!

Krewe du Vieux at The Infirmary, NY

  • 2 oz. D. George Benham’s Sonoma Dry Gin
  • 1 oz. Navy Strength Gin
  • 1 oz. Jamaican and Over Proof Rum
  • Almond
  • Creme de Menthe
  • Grapefruit
  • Lime
  • Anise for garnish

Combine ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into collin’s glass with ice and garnish with lime, anise and grapefruit peel.

Glitter & Stars at Oscar Wilde, NY

  • 2 oz. D. George Benham’s Sonoma Dry Gin
  • 3/4 oz. Elderflower Liqueur
  • Sparkling Wine
  • Lavender Bitters
  • Lemon twist

Combine Benham’s Gin and elderflower liqueur in a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into a chilled coupe. Add lavender bitters to taste, top with sparkling wine and garnish with a lemon twist.

  • D. George Benham’s Sonoma Dry Gin
  • Corn Atol
  • Sugar Cane
  • Lemon Juice
  • Manzanilla Sherry
  • Sea Salt
  • Cilantro Tincture

Southside Tonic at Oscar Wilde, NY

  • 2 oz. D. George Benham’s Sonoma Dry Gin
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz. simple syrup
  • Sprig fresh mint

Combine Benham’s Gin, lime juice, simple syrup and mint in a shaker. Add some ice cubes and shake vigorously. Strain into collins glass filled with ice. Garnish with one mint sprig.
