Strawberry Fizz, a perfect Brunch treat for Mother's Day

Mother's Day is this weekend, and Mom always deserves the best. If you're serving brunch at home, try this creamy delight with a fresh strawberry reduction and the touch of vanilla and the majesty of St. George Spirits Terroir Gin.

Strawberry Fizz

2 oz St. George Terroir Gin
0.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
three drops orange flower water
1 oz Strawberry Vanilla reduction (see below)
1 oz cream
1 egg white
soda water

Combine all ingredients except for soda water in a shaker. Dry shake for as long as you can stand, then shake again vigorously with ice until extremely cold. Strain into a collins glass with no ice. Add soda water slowly in a small stream until the foam crests the glass. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and serve with straws.

To make the Strawberry Vanilla reduction: chop 1 quart fresh ripe strawberries and reduce in a saucepan with one split vanilla bean and 1/2 c. water until cooked down completely, Fine strain and make a 1-1 syrup with cane sugar from the strained liquid.

If you and your mom don't feel like mixing up this one at home, come and join me at Tiki Sundays with Suzanne at The New Easy, 3255 Lakeshore, Oakland, California. I'll be there starting at 8pm, and don't forget there is always Rum Punch all night for only $5. It's a sight to behold, and even more magical to taste!

I'll see YOU and Mom there!
