Bird Dog whiskey, one of the U.S. market’s hottest spirits brands, is launching an array of new products this summer—including a small-batch Bourbon and two new flavored editions. Bottled at 86 proof, Bird Dog Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey will retail at around $30 a 750-ml. and will be available nationwide in July. Bird Dog is also expanding its flavor range with two new offerings: Ruby Red Grapefruit and Strawberry. Like Bird Dog’s existing flavor extensions—which include Apple, Blackberry, Peach, Hot Cinnamon, Maple, Chocolate, Spiced and Jalapeno Honey—the two new additions will retail at approximately $20.
Westland Distillery, part of the Anchor Distilling portfolio, has released a Core Range Collection, a new variety pack featuring its three flagship American single malt whiskies. The triple set, which includes one 200-ml. bottle each of Westland’s American Oak, Sherry Wood and Peated single malts (all 46% abv), retails at $74.99. Founded in Seattle in 2010, Westland is devoted to “bringing a new and distinctly American voice to the world of single malt whiskey.”
Diageo has begun testing a new dairy-free and gluten-free expression of its Baileys cream liqueur brand. Retailing at $21 a 750-ml. in line with other products in the range, Baileys Almande is a 13%-abv almond milk liqueur that is currently on the market in Dallas, Denver and Austin.
Jägermeister has launched a new 20-ml. glass bottle format—dubbed the Mini Meister—in the U.S. Designed to be poured into a single beverage or consumed as a shot, the portable Mini Meister bottles are targeted toward travel, tailgating and summer party occasions. The Mini Meisters will be available in 10-count Prost Packs ($10 each) throughout select markets, including Colorado, Illinois and Massachusetts.
