Create a holiday-inspired cocktail using unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and cranberry sauce? No problem. That’s exactly what I was challenged to do as part of Piehole Whiskey’s influencer competition. Last week, I received a package with all three of the Piehole Whiskeys (Apple Pie, Cherry Pie, and Pecan Pie) and a handful of ingredients including walnuts, apple cider, whipped cream, canned pumpkin, and cream cheese. I was then tasked with creating a cocktail using at least two of those ingredients.

As much as I wanted to, I wasn’t brave enough to choose the cream cheese, but I did use the cranberry sauce and apple cider. The end result was my Cran-Apple Sangria, a holiday twist on a boozy classic. Oh! And did I mention that the winner of the challenge will win a cooking class for two? Much needed on my end, so wish me luck!
