When it comes to Scotch Whiskey, most people think that it is for fat old men sitting in a dark room in front of fire. But when it comes to Scotch and Women, only a few women really know how to order it.

There is much more to Scotch than just drinking it straight or with some soda. There are actually cocktails that are made with Scotch that are very tasty.

Nothing is sexier than a woman that knows how to order Scotch and who drinks it herself. Ladies, try these recipes. Guys, next time you buy a drink for a girl, pick one of these and she will love you forever.

Penicillin

• 2 oz Blended Scotch Whiskey
• Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
• 3/4 oz Honey
• 3 slices of Fresh Ginger
• 1/4 oz Laphroaig Scotch Whiskey
• In a pint glass muddle the ginger well; add the Blended Scotch, Lemon Juice, and Honey; Shake with ice until chilled well; Strain well (to get bits of ginger out) over ice; Float the Laphroaig over the top
• Garnish: None

Rusty Nail

• 1 oz Dewars White Label Scotch Whiskey
• 1 oz Drambuie
• Pour over ice in a rocks glass; stir gently
• Garnish: None

Rob Roy

• 2 oz Johnny Walker Black Scotch Whiskey
• 3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
• 3 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
• Add all ingredients into mixing glass with ice; Stir until chilled; Strain into small Martini Glass
• Garnish: Cherry

Presbyterian

• 2 oz Blended Scotch Whiskey
• 3 oz Club Soda
• 3 oz Ginger Ale
• Fill tall glass with ice, add Scotch; Add the Club Soda and Ginger Ale; Stir
• Garnish: Lemon Wheel

Highland Bramble

• 2 oz Blended Scotch Whiskey
• Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
• 1/4 oz Honey
• Egg White from 1 Egg (otional)
• 1/2 oz Chambord
• Shake all ingredients except for Chambord in a Shaker Tin with ice; Strain in Highball glass over ice; Drizzle Chambord over top
• Garnish: Blackberry

Modern No. 2

• 1 oz Blended Scotch Whiskey
• 2 oz Sloe Gin
• 1 Dash Orange Bitters
• 1 Dash Absinthe
• 1 Dash Pomegranate Grenadine
• Add all ingredients in Mixing Glass with ice; Stir until chilled; Strain into Cocktail Glass
• Garnish: None

The Godfather

• 1 1/2 oz Scotch Whiskey
• 1/2 Disaronno Amaretto
• Pour both ingredients over ice in a rocks glass
• Garnish: None

Blood and Sand

• 1 oz Single Malt Scotch Whiskey (I go with Balvenie)
• 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
• 1 oz Cherry Heering
• 1 oz Pulp Free Orange Juice
• Shake all ingredients in a Shaker Tin full of ice; Strain into Cocktail Glass
• Garnish: Orange Peel

Sherlock & Watson

• 2 oz Single Malt Scotch Whiskey (Glen Livet)
• 1/2 oz Earl Grey Syrup (To make: Boil 1 cup water with 1 Earl Grey Tea Bag and 16 oz Honey)
• Juice of 1/4 Lemon
• 2 Dashes Cardamom Bitters
• Shake all ingredients in Shaker Tin full of ice until Chilled; Strain into Cocktail Glass
• Garnish: Lemon Twist

Mamie Taylor

• 2 oz Blended Scotch Whiskey
• Juice of 1/2 a Lime
• 5 oz Ginger Ale
• In a Tall Glass with ice, add Scotch, Ginger Ale, then Lime Juice
• Garnish: Lime Wheel
