Being a man who loves whiskey and rye I found this gem of a drink that can be enjoyed in the summer or any season. The summer rye is a cocktail made with rye whiskey, simple syrup, fresh apple cider, Champagne and one of my favorite liqueurs St-Germain. Bartenders refer to this liqueur as bartenders Ketchup because it mixes so well when added in cocktails and gives the flavor of elderflower, just like one adds fresh herbs and spices to a meal.
