WHAT: Celebrate Bourbon Heritage Month at the Woodford Reserve Distillery. Dine at the ultimate Distiller’s Table with the Woodford Reserve Master Distiller, Chris Morris on Friday, September 18. Begin the evening in our Visitor’s Center with Chris and artisan created Woodford Cocktails. Our Chef-in-Residence, Ouita Michel, will serve Tapas and small plates inspired by Chris’ mixology — each drink and plate a reflection of the other.
After the cocktail hour, Chris will lead guests down the hill to an 88-foot long Harvest Table located along Woodford’s famous historic barrel run. Here guests will dine on the best of our Bluegrass Harvest by candle and lantern light.
On the menu is: Black Hawk Kentucky Proud Wagyu Beef slow cooked over Woodford Barrel Staves, Whole Roasted Wild Salmon, Heirloom tomatoes, Happy Jack’s Sweet corn, the first of the fall squashes, local lettuces, greens and beans, biscuits, corn pones, and Woodford’s own pickles and relishes. For dessert: Woodford’s Apple Charlotte, drizzled with Caramel and served with Crank-n-Boom Bourbon Honey Ice Cream.
