Ask any mom which day she prefers between Mother’s Day and her birthday and you may be surprised to learn that she favors the day that celebrates moms. You see, on a woman’s birthday, there’s a good chance that she can make it through the day without anyone ever knowing there’s anything special about it. But on Mother’s Day, anyone who knows that she has children knows it’s her special day. Although a woman may receive gifts on her birthday, on Mother’s Day a mom receives gifts and is catered to from the moment she wakes up. When it’s one’s birthday, kicking off the day with a cocktail seems a little self-indulgent. When it’s Mother’s Day, no one ever questions a woman’s need to have a drink…or even several. Raising children takes a village, but who do you think also runs the village?
For this year’s Mother’s Day, no one deserves it more than mom. Go big!
