Cold outside? Here are three fruity drinks to help you forget it’s winter.

Hemingway Daiquiri

Adapted by Joseph Schwartz; Little Branch, Silver Lining; New York

  • 1½ oz light rum
  • ¾ oz maraschino liqueur
  • 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice

Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker, fill with ice, and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled coupe and serve.

Pisco Punch

  • 2 oz pisco
  • ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ oz pineapple gomme syrup
  • 1 pineapple wedge

Combine the pisco, syrup, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker, fill with ice, and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass, garnish with the pineapple, and serve.

El Diablo

  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • ½ oz creme de cassis
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 slices fresh ginger
  • 5 oz chilled ginger ale
  • 1 lime wheel

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the ginger slices, then add the tequila, cassis, and lime juice.  Fill with ice, shake vigorously, and strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice. Top with the ginger ale, stir gently, garnish with the lime wheel, and serve.
