Not Your Father’s Root Beer straddles the root beer and beer categories as perfectly as possible. With every sip, you’re not entirely convinced that you’re drinking either. The spices of the root beer shine through enough to transport you to childhood, while the presence of beer reminds you that you’ve definitely come a long way since soda was your beverage of choice. When ice cream is added to the mix, you’ve got a wonderful mix of bitter, sweet, and creamy, all in one glass. Treat your inner kid and your grown-up self at the same time with this delicious take on the ice cream float.
Hard Root Beer Float
3 heaping scoops of vanilla bean ice cream
1 bottle Not Your Father’s Root Beer
Directions
Scoop the ice cream into a highball or pint glass. Add Not Your Father’s Root Beer until the drink begins to overflow. Sip away until you run out of root beer, or ice cream, or both.
