It's a Summer kind of Spring day.
A yet-to-be-titled cocktail, but definitely one inspired by the Summer to be during this glorious Spring day. As I did a lovely post-work run around my lake (aka Lake Merritt, Oakland) I knew I needed to hydrate. I know that it's not recommended to hydrate with a cocktail...but the heart wants what the heart wants. This refreshing and bright drank is a thirst-quencher for sure. Novo Fogo does it best when it comes to cachacas, so I highly suggest using those gems when creating this delightful orange, lime, falernum splash. Drink in this sunshine in a glass and kick back.
Let's concoct:
- 2 oz Novo Fogo Cachacas
- 1 oz Orange
- 0.5 oz Lime
- 0.25 oz Agave
- 0.25 oz Velvet Falernum
- Club Soda
*Muddle fruit then add remaining ingredients. Shake with cracked ice and dump into a Collin's glass (or something similar). Top with club soda and garnish with a small orange slice on a pick.
