Two readers love this post.
With July coming to an end, I am already dreading the end of summer and find myself looking to take advantage of the summer weather any chance I can get. This desire to hold onto summer as tightly as possible has inspired me to share my favorite summer recipes, and hopefully inspire all of you to throw a summer-themed cocktail party! When you think of summer flavors, watermelon, strawberry, citrus and anything fizzy usually pops into mind, and the below recipes include all of these favorite flavors of summer:
Watermelon Mint Summer Sangria
- 1 Bottle Sandeman Founders Reserve Porto
- 12oz Lemon-lime Soda
- ¼ Watermelon, Muddled And Strained For Juice
- 20 Mint Leaves, Muddled
- 10-15 Strawberries, Halved
Slice strawberries in half and set aside. Slice watermelon, muddle and strain for juice. Mix Sandeman Founders Reserve Porto, lemon-lime soda and watermelon juice in pitcher. Add strawberries and let sit for 8-12 hours (or overnight). Muddle mint leaves and add to pitcher before serving.
Summer State of Mind
- 2 parts Malibu Coconut Rum
- 1 part Hiram Walker Raspberry Schnapps
- Juice of one Lime
- Top with Lemon-lime Soda
Build first three ingredients over ice in a Collins glass and top with lemon-lime soda. Optional garnish with a lime peel.
Summers with Mama
- 1.5 parts Mama Walker Blueberry Pancakes
- .75 part Absolut Citron
- 3 parts cranberry juice
- Splash of club soda
