Looking for a winter warmer to help you ward off the quickly approaching cold weather? What better way than with a cocktail, or two, that you can make at home? Whether it’s a holiday party, Thanksgiving gathering, or a meal with friends, these cocktails are sure to be a hit!
For a night by the fireplace… GOLDEN HOT TODDY:
- 50 ml Aberfeldy 12
- 15 ml Local Honey Syrup*
- 20 ml Lemon Juice
- Spice Mix
* Local Honey Syrup: 100g of honey, 64g water, stir and leave to chill. Bottle and use accordingly.
Method: Hot, spicy and zesty, we mix a bespoke hot toddy mix with Aberfeldy 12, local honey, lemon juice and hot water for this winter warmer.
For Friendsgiving… THE HOWDY’S DRAM:
- 750 ml Craigellachie 13 Year Old
- 300 ml Palo Cortado Sherry
- 250 ml Herbal Liqueur
- 400 ml Spearmint Tea (or favorite tea flavor)
- 10 dashes of Angostura Bitters
Method: Steep tea bags in boiling water. Let cool before using it. Combine all ingredients together in a punch bowl. Garnish with a healthy bouquet of mint and as big of an ice cube* as you can find to fit your punch bowl. Dust the mint leaves with a bit of powdered sugar to add some pizzazz.
*Note: If you’re using smaller cubes, wait to add until just before your least fashionably-late guest arrives.
