Yakkity-Yak (Don't Talk Back)

Ah, bourbon...

There's something in the way you move that gives us the feeling of importance. I know that feeding into your power with this statement only makes it seem more so, but maybe I have found it in myself an important task to do so. Damn it, you've got me again.

From the depths of Bar De Bex, inspired by the many whiskey lovers I have out there, ranting with sophistication about their lives, I present to you, "Yakkity-Yak (Don't Talk Back)". For the fans of strong and bold whiskey drinks that make you feel noteworthy—this one's for you. A drink filled with uninterrupted scholarly inhales and purposeful sighs. When after you take a sip, you give that satisfying release and dive right into, “You know sometimes…”

I’m sure some tall tales will start with this one, and some unexpected confessions after the second.

Let's concoct:

• 2 oz Bourbon
• 1 oz Benedictine
• 0.5 oz Canton
• 2 Dashes of Angostura

*Stir in mixing glass with cubed ice. Strain into a rocks glass with one large ice cube. Top with orange zest and garnish with thick orange peel (or a twisted one, if that's what you're into).
