I really enjoy using Yerba Mate in cocktails. It's strong lingering flavor has profound vegetal and citrus notes, that really allow the drink to elevate the imbiber's palate. Yerba Mate is also loaded with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants. Here I showcase a simple gin sour with the addition of a Yerba Mate tincture, egg white and some nice lemon citrus. Cheers!
Ingredients:
1.5oz London dry gin
.5oz Yerba tincture infusion
3/4oz Fresh lemon juice
White of an egg
Angostura bitters line
Prep: Combine all with a few ice cubes and shake the heck out of it. Fine strain and apply Angostura Bitters line. Sip and enjoy
