7 Simple Summer Cocktails You Should Be Drinking

We’re half of the way through and it’s only getting hotter. The perfect answer to a hot day is a cold drink, so we’ve rounded up 7 simple summer cocktails to try this summer. If you’re headed to the beach, or enjoying the pool, you probably don’t want to waste time making drinks so you grab a beer or one of those nasty malt drinks at the grocery, but with these you can have a drink that’s both quick and delicious. We’ve got a lil something for everyone so be sure to try them all.
Quittin’ Time
• 8 parts Sweet Tea (made with black tea and fresh local honey)
• 4 parts Coopers’ Craft
Garnish with thick sprig of fresh mint. Serve in a pitcher packed with large ice cubes and mint. (Makes 4 servings).
Coopers’ Cup
• 2 parts Coopers’ Craft Bourbon
• 1 part fresh lime juice
• Top with Ale-8-One (roughly 6 parts)
Served over crushed ice in tin cup, garnish with mint sprig
Beau’s Berry
- 1 oz. Dixie Citrus Vodka
- 4 oz lemonade
- Muddle 2 blackberries in tumbler
Shake with ice and strain into ice-filled glass.
Summer Social
- 2 oz. Dixie Citrus Vodka
- 1 piece watermelon (roughly a square-inch cube)
- 1 piece pineapple (rougly a square-inch cube)
- ½ oz. simple syrup
Shake with ice, strain into ice-filled glass & top with soda.
Orange Bullet
- Fill glass with ice; combine:
- 2 oz. Dixie Citrus Vodka
- 2 oz. orange juice
- 4 oz. ginger beer
- Juice of 1/4 lime
Stir; garnish with orange slice
Honey Summer Tea
- 1 Parts of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey
- 3 Parts Peach flavored Ice Tea
- 1 Slice of grilled peach or sliced frozen peach
- 1 Sprig of Mint
Directions: Stir ingredients then pour into an ice filled glass and add peach and mint for garnish.
Honey Lemonade Slush
- Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey
- Lemonade
- Water
- Ice
Start by adding about 2 cups of ice to your blender then add 2 parts of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey to 6 – 8 parts of lemonade (to taste) and 1 cup of water. Blend on high until smooth and pour into a glass and garnish with a lemon wedge and add straw.
