Everyone loves a good classic mojito. But if you're looking for a little something different, try one of these 11 fruity and refreshing twists on the classic mojito recipe. Bottoms up!
1. Pineapple Mint Mojito
Barefeet in the Kitchen made this cocktail with lots of pineapple and plenty of fresh mint. The results are lusciously light and not too sweet. You can also easily make a nonalcoholic version for those who don't imbibe.
2. Watermelon Mojito
After a sip of this slightly sweet cocktail concocted by Call Me PMC, you'll be tempted to enjoy it until Labor Day. We especially love this recipe because rather than use sugar, Call Me PMC uses a can of Fresca.
3. Virgin Muddled Kiwi Mojito
La Fuji Mama made some fauxjitos that you can easily booze up if you desire. She muddles fresh kiwi, lime wedges and mint leaves in the bottom of a tall glass, adds ice and agave syrup, then fills up the rest of the glass with club soda and a splash of ginger ale. Stir with a spoon and enjoy.
4. Skinny Strawberry Green Tea Mojitos
Mom on Time Out likes to serve these mojitos over frozen strawberries instead of ice. Freeze a few strawberries for at least 30 minutes. They will not only keep your drink cold, but also release even more flavor and color as they melt. We also recommend you brew some green tea for this one, just so you can control the sugar content more.
5. White Peach, Basil and Blueberry Mojito
Pineapple and Coconut wasn't very keen on mojitos. She doesn't like mint very much, which is, of course, one of the drink's key ingredients. How could she have her mojito and enjoy it, too? Substitute mint with basil, and create this gorgeous and delicious white peach and blueberry mojito.
6. Clementine Mojitos
What are you going to do with all those clementines you just got in the mesh bag? Eat most of them, of course, but then juice a few so you can make Jo-Lynne Shane's off-the-hook mojitos.
7. Blueberry Mojito Royale
Domesticate Me's mojito looks almost too pretty to drink. Like a mojito, you muddle the blueberries, fresh mint, lime and a sprinkling of sugar in the raw together, and add a generous shot of rum. Instead of topping with club soda, Domesticate Me tops this mojito with chilled champagne or prosecco. Now that's a stiff drink, friends. The fancy blueberry "swizzle sticks" are simply blueberries threaded onto bamboo skewers, which takes all of 45 seconds, but is, naturally, optional.
8. Apricot Lime Mojito
Heather Christo made homemade apricot puree and combined it with fresh lime juice, rum and mint for results that she calls out of this world. SOLD!
9. Lavender Mojito
We're suckers for lavender, so Sugar and Charm won us over immediately with this mojito recipe. You have to cook the lavender when making the simple syrup — despite the bit of extra work, it's worth it, as it gives the mojito a slight lavender essence. Garnish with a fresh sprig of lavender (or use a fake branch like Sugar and Charm did).
10. Blackberry Mojito
Just Putzing Around in the Kitchen made this beautiful cocktail with leftover blackberries from the margaritas she whipped up the night before. Yum!
11. Guava Mojito
Never mind, spring. Table for Two is ready for some summer, and what better to beckon the sun and warmth to finish thawing us out already than by drinking some tropical goodness in a tall glass. Well, that's one way, anyway. Sipping this will make you feel like you're on a Caribbean cruise.
