Saying cocktail and liquor lovers are difficult to shop for is a bit of an understatement. After all, they have good (and expensive) taste. They’re in the know about what’s new and notable so they tend to buy themselves any bottles they’ve been eying, especially around the holidays. And that sometimes leaves you with zero ideas.

But there are a few non-alcoholic gifts that make excellent complements to a libation lover’s bar collection. Here, a few affordable and unique things I’m loving right now:

Infuse-Your-Own Booze Kit, $29

Some of the best gifts involve a little DIY. Give the gift of a custom herb or spice blend, like this one from GinBrew, to which the recipient can add vodka to and essentially create a compound gin. Blends include the Jenevieve (rose hips, lavender, hibiscus petals, elderflower and Egyptian chamomile with bay leaf and Tellicherry pepper), which the company says is perfect in a Ramos Gin Fizz.

 You can also opt to put your own blend together in a mason jar – throw in gold rum, cinnamon sticks, a few cloves, whole nutmeg and vanilla beans and ta-da! You’ve got homemade spiced rum, straight from the heart.

If you’ve served cocktails to more than a couple of people at your home, then you know how difficult it is to transport them from bar to table without a tray. Cocktail prints by Dave Stolte, $25-$100

Illustrator and author of Home Bar Basics (And Not-So-Basics)  makes whimsical fine art prints of various cocktails in various sizes. You can even opt for his “Drinkify Me” option, in which he draws a personalized caricature of you or a friend with a favorite drink.

Boozy chevron copper earrings, $45

I am just about obsessed with artist and bartender Kristen Lowe-Rebel’s cocktail oriented jewelry line, which includes drawings of champagne, bourbon, gin, and bitters bottles, and in this case, absinthe and the Vieux Carre whiskey cocktail. Get your favorite design in a myriad of earrings styles, cuffs and necklaces in either copper, brass or stainless steel. Kristen also places the designs on money clips and hip flasks.
