9 Easy Vodka Drinks – Recipes with Common Items

Like Vodka? Or just have a bottle of vodka lying around and don't know what to do with it? Take these easy vodka drinks recipes and incorporate them with common items probably found in your place.
The Vodka Tonic
On-the-Rocks
- 2 oz Vodka in a highball (8 oz glass) filled with ice and fill with tonic water.
- Serve with a lime wedge
The Screwdriver
On-the-Rocks
- 2 oz Vodka in a highball (8 oz glass) filled with ice and fill with orange juice.
- Garnish with a orange slice if your fancy
Greyhound/Salty Dog
On-the-Rocks
- 2 oz Vodka in a highball (8 oz glass) filled with ice and fill with grapefruit juice. *For Salty Dog do the same just rim your glass with kosher salt
- No garnish just drink it
Bloody Mary
On-the-Rocks
This is not my best bloody mary but it is simple and can be found in most kitchens.
- Fill 16 oz glass with ice, add 4 oz vodka, fill with tomato juice leaving about an inch at the top of the glass. Add two splashes of Worcestershire sauce, couple drops of Tabasco, tbsp prepared horseradish, tbsp salt, tbsp pepper, tbsp celery salt, tbsp olive juice.
- Pour in shaker tin and mix, pour back in glass and drink
- Can garnish with a celery stick but its just going to hit you in the face when you try and drink it.
Cape Cod
On-the-Rocks
- 2 oz Vodka poured in a highball glass filled with ice
- Fill the remaining with Cranberry Juice
- Garnish with a lime (The lime is what makes it a Cape Cod and not just a Vodka Cranberry)
Bay Breeze
On-the-Rocks
- 2 oz Vodka poured in a highball glass with ice
- Pour in Pineapple Juice almost to the top
- Splash of Cranberry Juice
- Garnish with a cherry
Sea Breeze
On-the-Rocks
- 2 oz Vodka poured in a highball glass with ice
- Pour in Grapefruit Juice almost to the top
- Splash of Cranberry Juice
- No Garnish, but you can use a lime wedge if you want
Madras
On-the-Rocks
- 2 oz Vodka poured of ice in a tall glass
- 3 oz Orange Juice
- 1 oz Cranberry Juice
- Garnish with Orange slice
* If you pour the Cranberry Juice and the Orange juice in slowly, you will get a cool "layered" look
Black Russian
On-the-Rocks
- 2 oz of Vodka poured over ice in a highball glass
- 2 oz Kahlua
- I don't garnish this drink but I see it with a cherry sometimes
