We're nothing if not a little delusional when it comes to embracing good weather, and this recent spell of heat waves and not-horrifically-freezing temperatures across the country has got us all excited for springtime. To celebrate the thaw, we decided we'd share some of our favorite spring cocktail recipes. Sure, the weather probably won't hold, and we'll probably be knee-deep in snow by this time next week (even here in San Francisco), but just let us have this one. These drinks are great no matter how miserable it is outside.

Mojito

While any number of popular mixed drinks go well with a warm, sunny day, nothing says refreshing quite like a Mojito. Made with fresh mint, lime, soda water, and, of course, rum, this classic Mojito recipe is sure to make you feel like you're on a beach no matter where you're sipping it.

Margarita

There are all kinds of fantastic Margarita recipes out there, but our favorite will always be the classic. All you need is some good tequila, fresh lime juice, triple sec (Cointreau is far and away the best choice), and salt. This Margarita recipe should always be made fresh—no pre-made mixes!

Moscow Mule

The Moscow Mule may be a classic recipe, but more than anything it started out as a marketing scheme for Smirnoff back in the '40s. We're glad it did, though, because this thing is as good a remedy for summertime heat as sticking your head in the freezer. And if it's still snowy out, just grab a handful and use it in place of the crushed ice! There are plenty of creative Moscow Mule variations out there, too, so you'll never get bored of this puppy.

Long Island Iced Tea

Sure, it's not as classy as some of the old-school drinks on this list, but the beauty of the Long Island Iced Tea is that it looks just like, well, iced tea. You can get away with knocking them back on the porch all day and nobody will notice—well, at least until you try to stand up.

Sex on the Beach

It may be a step up from the Long Island, but the Sex on the Beach is still a pretty standard choice for nightclubs and college bars. That said, it's pretty flippin' tasty, and it's about as spring-break as you can get without going back to the good old days of MTV. Mix up a few of these and you'll be hard-pressed to believe it's not July, no matter what the weatherman says.
