The man, the legend and the cocktail . . . one word sums it up -- Capone. January 17th marked what would have been Capone's 116th birthday and we'd like to invite you to raise a glass to this larger than life gent.
When it came to creating a cocktail that would pay accurate homage to Capone it had to include his beloved, Templeton Rye- a rye distilled in Indiana and bottled in Templeton, Iowa. In fact, it is even said that Capone had bottles smuggled into Alcatraz while he was there and that he is buried with a bottle. True or not, we never need an excuse to enjoy exceptional whiskey.
Cheers to you, Mr. Capone!!
