Truth be told, this beverage was inspired and refined by two gals.....a fact which neither are aware of. Whoops. Both seem to enjoy the idea that they are the sole inspiration behind the cocktail. Just haven't found it in my heart to let them know about "the other girl." Which is what I should really call this drink. Ha.

The double truth is that the one I find most dreamy had originally challenged me to make her a drink using vodka, cucumber, & cassis. So I did, and was tasty, but always felt that something was missing. Fast forward a couple months, the other girl, who has amazing dimples by the way, said she just had a tasty cocktail elsewhere containing vodka, ginger beer, cucumber & lemon juice, and asked if I could make something similar. "Of course," I replied.

Quickly I thought of the drink I make the Dreamy girl, what I could take from the dimple faced girl, and knowing I didn't want to use ginger beer. I came up with what I am here to present to you. Dimple face was quite stoked and naturally wanted me to name the drink after her, to which I initially inclined. Then said I'd call it, "Nice Dimples!" Soon after, knowing where my inspiration came from, I thought of "Good Will Hunting" and one of my favorite quotes in that movie. When Sean (Robin Williams- r.i.p) tells Will (Matt Damon) what he told his friends during game 6, "Sorry, guys; I gotta see About A Girl." And BOOM, the cocktail was named.
