The team behind the British spiced malt, Albion Racing Club, have announced details of their second bi-annual racing event – The Salcombe Run: The Only Way is Trafalgar.

Taking place between the 26th and 28th of September this year, the race champions the heroic British spirit of adventure where it’s not about who comes first, but the style in which you get there…that and the lashings of ARC waiting for you at the finish line.

Following on from their launch race (Meribel or Bust) earlier this year where everything from a Vintage Land Rover to a Tiger Moth bi-plane, luge and skis were used to cover the distance between their Cambridgeshire distillery and the French Alps, this seasons event is all about a Trafalgar-themed weekend on the water in Salcombe, Devon.

Beginning in London, teams of four will make their way to Devon in their own choice of ‘interesting vehicle’where Trafalgar-inspired dinghy races, beach olympics and a cocktail competition await them before culminating in a nautical-themed gala dinner on the Saturday evening.

Albion Racing Club British Spiced Malt spirit consists of a five-times distilled single malt infused with Indian vanilla pods, organic raisins and Columbian coffee beans before bottled at a full 42% ABV (84 Proof). With the announcement of a newly acquired distribution deal in Australia earlier this month, ARC is becoming a brand to watch, and where better to do so than from a sinking dinghy in Salcombe’s Kingsbridge Estuary dressed as Napoleon? See you there.
