I look forward to autumn all year long. It's my favorite season, especially in the northeast. Something about that slight chill in the air brings back all kinds of happy memories. So I love embracing fall flavors in my cocktails. Since apple cider becomes a staple in our fridge as soon as it appears on the shelves, it inevitably found its way into one of my favorite autumn drinks, along with seasonally-appropriate bourbon, maple syrup, and cinnamon. This drink is incredibly easy to make and a definite crowd-pleaser. It's my go-to cocktail to share with friends this time of year.

Autumn Cocktail #1

2 oz. bourbon

1 oz. apple cider

1/2 oz. maple syrup

1/2 oz. lemon juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
