BarNotes Recipe of the Week - Wood & Salt

Whilst in Nashville, I picked up some very delicious Bourbon Smoked Sea Salt by Bourbon Barrel Foods. This salt goes very well in a Maple Old Fashioned!

Ingredients:
- Bourbon or Rye
- Maple Liqueur
- Brown Sugar or Demerara Sugar (I'd go with Brown Sugar)
- Black Walnut Bitters
- Bourbon Smoked Sea Salt
- Orange Peel
- Maraschino Cherry
Preparation:
Build in Glass:
- Add Sugar, Bitters and Maple Liqueur to glass and stir until sugar is nearly dissolved.
- Then add Bourbon or Rye and stir again.
- Add Cherry, Ice, express Orange Peel and garnish.
- Finally, add a pinch of Salt on top.

*If you find this to be too sweet, reduce the amount of sugar added to drink.
