1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
3 Dashes Cardamom
2 Orange Slices
2 Lime Wedges
Splash of Orange Juice
GARNISH :
Cinnamon Sugar Rim & Gooseberry.
PREPARATION:
Yes, being an Italian everything to me is better if it’s bitter! Slowly people are starting to get more and more familiar that the bitter taste is not just for medicine but also for delicious artisanal cocktails like this one!
Start with your mixing glass and add the limes, oranges, simple syrup and cardamom and muddle it until all the fruits are really bruised and juices are extracted. Next add the Amaro Lucano and the Mango Rum and pour it all into a shaker with a scoop of ice. Shake it for 5 fast seconds and strain and pour into a chilled cinnamon sugar rimmed martini glass.
The color is dark orange with molasses veins, the nose is magically distracted by the warm cozy smell of cinnamon. The taste is quite unique…. it’s a sweet drink but yet really balanced, extremely floral but fruity and the cardamom makes it really intriguing to your tastebuds. By the time you try to guess all the ingredients that make up this drink, your glass will be empty and you will be ready for the next one!
