Strawberry Rhubarb Mint Julep

I thought that the Mint Julep was a light cocktail but it’s a serious sipping bourbon drink. This recipe is only a slight variation to the traditional cocktail. I added my Strawberry Rhubarb Simple Syrup instead of plain Simple Syrup because, well, I’m adding it to everything. It’s delicious.
Strawberry Rhubarb Mint Julep
A slightly tart twist on the classic cocktail, the Mint Julep.

Ingredients
- 6 Mint Leaves
- 1 ounce Strawberry Rhubarb Simple Syrup
- 1 cup Crushed Ice
- 2 ounces Four Roses Bourbon
- Strawberries or additional Mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Add the mint, Strawberry Rhubarb Simple Syrup, bourbon, and splash of water to a highball glass.
- Muddle the mint in the glass and then add enough ice to almost fill the glass.
- Stir well and garnish with mint sprig.
