Bottoms Up: The Classic Dirty Martini

Two readers love this post.
I never liked strong drinks. I always preferred mine sweet and fruity so that it totally covered up the taste of the alcohol. Then my friend made me try her Dirty Martini. I was floored at how good it tasted. I thought it was going to taste like straight vodka* but the recipe calls for a secret ingredient (vermouth), which really balances out the alcohol. I’m a huge olive fan so I definitely like my martinis dirty. Olives soaked in vodka is surprisingly delicious.
* Martini’s can be made of gin or vodka but I always prefer vodka.
