Black-Eyed Susan, Preakness Cocktail
You can't celebrate The Preakness without sipping a Black-Eyed Susan. Named after the Maryland State Flower, this Black-Eyed Susan is a citrus drink highlighted with Whiskey. I felt it was only appropriate to use Rye Whiskey in this refreshing cocktail, given our state's history with the spirit.
BLACK EYED SUSAN
INGREDIENTS
2 ounces Rye Whiskey
2 ounces Orange Juice
1 ounce Lime Juice
1 ounce Simple Syrup
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Combine ingredients in a shaker.
2. Shake with ice.
3. Strain into an ice filled glass.
4. Garnish with citrus and a cherry.
5. Enjoy!
