Rosé Colored Glasses
Kayla Mata, Seamstress, New York, NY and Belle Shoals, Brooklyn, NY
“Sip the tequila, sip the sangrita, enjoy, relax, and love.” Kayla Mata
3 strawberries
2 slices red bell pepper
2 slices poblano pepper
1 dash salt
.5 oz (15 ml) Del Maguey Vida Single Village Mezcal
.5 oz (15 ml) Ancho Reyes Ancho Chile Liqueur
.25 oz (7.5 ml) Chase English Oak Smoked Vodka
1 bell pepper top, as garnish
1.5 oz (45 ml) Don Julio Blanco Tequila, neat
Muddle the berries, peppers, and salt in a mixing glass. Add remaining ingredients and ice. Stir briefly and strain into a chilled coupe. Add the garnish.
Serve the sangrita separately from the tequila.
