The Corpse Revivers are in fact a family of cocktails, instead of a singular drink. Long ago these drinks were considered hangover cures, due to their fresh flavors and that little alcoholic energy kick they generated.
It didn't take long until all sorts of Corpse Revivers popped up, each one using a different spirit and perhaps a slightly different ingredient combination.
Many of the variants are lost to history, but modern mixologists are fast resurrecting the cognac and gin-based versions that Harry Craddock pinned down in his Savoy Cocktail Book. The latter is the best known.

Corpse Reviver #2

3/4 oz gin
3/4 oz orange liqueur
3/4 oz Lillet Blanc
3/4 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/4 oz absinthe
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a coupe. No garnish.
Refreshing it is, for sure, but make no mistake, no matter how many of them you have, there will be no revival. Alcohol can't cure its own side effects alone. (You might want to check out these sure-fire hangover cures.) And beware, too, of overindulgence in the supposed cure: Craddock himself cautioned that "four of these taken in swift succession will un-revive the corpse again."
