Warm spring afternoon and some blackberry moonshine inspired this cocktail. This is one recipe that for some reason came easy. Doesn’t happen often but when it does, it’s magical! The gin was added at the last minute to help round out the drink. We love layers to our drinks and the juniper from the gin really helped take it to the next level. Re:Find is hard to get unless you get it directly from them. A reasonable substitute would be the ever popular St. George Spirits “Terroir” Gin. Now that I think about it, an Old Tom style gin may work as well. I will have to try that!
INGREDIENTS:
1.5oz Junior Johnson’s Blackberry Midnight Moon
1/2oz TUACA Vanilla Citrus Liqueur
1/2oz Re:Find Distillery Botanical Brandy (Gin)
1oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2oz Simple Syrup
Small bottle of Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water
PREPARATION:
In shaker add all ingredients except the tonic water with ice. Give it a good shake and pour over ice and top off the glass with the Fever-Tree tonic water. I used a mason jar, something about moonshine made me go there. Garnish with a thick slice of lemon peel, squeezing the zest oil over the top of the drink. Enjoy!
