One of the most refreshing Summertime ( Or anytime) drinks is a Gin and Tonic. I have to admit that I wasn't always a fan of gin ( horrors!) but now it's one of my favorite spirits. I love it when my customers look at a cocktail that I've created and go " What is that? It's so pretty!" That's one of the reasons that I chose Empress 1908 Gin. The butterfly pea blossom gives it such a gorgeous color! Infused with eight signature botanicals this Canadian gin adds the perfect flavor to my cocktail
For my twist on a gin and tonic and I added some Giffard Creme Passion Fruit Liqueur. Refreshing, tangy and tropical. I also add some sage for a bit of herbaceousness and rose petals for garnish and a lovely aroma. My tonic of choice for this is Fever -Tree Premium Indian Tonic Water. It has subtle botanicals of hand pressed bitter orange which gives it a nice citrus flavor.
For those of you that know me ( and those of you who don't) I love to name my drinks after songs. My Gin and Tonic Twist is called " Do You Believe in Magic"by The Lovin' Spoonful. So on a hot summer day, when you need a bit of refreshment, have a " Do You Believe In Magic" Gin and Tonic and maybe a bit of magic will come into your life! Cheers!
