This semi-sweet cocktail is similar to a classic Gin Buck, which typically has just gin and ginger ale. If you add lemon juice, sometimes people refer to it as a Leap Frog. Add lime juice and it's often called a Dragonfly. If you were to switch from ginger ale to club soda, your Dragonfly would become a Gin Rickey. We’ve also added orange bitters to this cocktail give it a little more complexity and we’ve added a fun garnish to nibble on.

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 3.0 ounces Hanna Gin
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice ginger ale
  • orange bitters
  • candied orange garnish

Directions:
Chill two highball glasses. You can do this by putting them in the freezer or just fill them with ice water for 5 minutes, then dump it out. Next, fill your glasses 2/3 with ice cubes. Pour 1.5 ounces of gin into each glass over the ice cubes. Squeeze 1 tablespoon of lime juice into each glass. Stir using a bar spoon (see our tips on the back of this card). Top each glass with ginger ale. Add two or three dashes of orange bitters to each drink. Garnish with candied orange and enjoy!
