DSTILL 2014 Announces Most Recent Developments
The pulse of spirits and cocktail culture coming to Denver in March
Exciting news on the Denver home front, DSTILL has announced plans for its second annual presentation that will take place across a weeklong immersion in small batch spirits culture. From March 10-16, the city will be filled with spirits tastings, craft cocktail events and many other public presentations highlighting the country’s top artisan distillers. In collaboration with the very first Craft Distillers Convention hosted by the American Craft Distillers Association, which will host two whole days of distilling workshops, keynote speakers, and master classes for trade professionals. The stills are running as we speak and the energy is already upon us in anticipation for DSTILL in 2014.
Thursday, March 13 marks the date of The Showcase, which we got our first taste of as DSTILL’s anchor event last April. A showcase in both spirits in cocktails, last year’s big event hosted more than 1,500 guests, 45 craft spirits producers from across the country, and the most talented lineup of cocktail professionals in the state. The composition of spirits and cocktail enthusiasts will gather at The Showcase, which was developed by the Colorado Distillers Guild in partnership with Something Independent to kick off the ACDA’s inaugural Craft Distillers Convention.
The American Craft Distillers Association is a trade association that has been organized and is governed exclusively by licensed craft distillers. The inaugural Craft Distillers Convention will be presented at the Denver Marriott on March 14th and 15th after the DTSILL Showcase and check-in on Thursday. The schedule of topics throughout the convention will include seminars across the spectrum from marketing to master distilling techniques and will be released on August 15th.
DSTILL is a serious celebration of craft spirits and without a doubt, the cohesion with the American Craft Distillers Association will make Denver the pulse of craft spirit culture in America this March. The time is right for the culture to thrive in spirits and cocktails and Denver will play a beautiful host to the talent from behind the stills and the bars. And from the members of our community, we welcome you.
