California Tonic with Anchor Distilling's Hophead Vodka

This past Wednesday, I had a glorious time mixing up the California Tonic at the CUESA 20th Birthday Party bash at the Ferry Building in San Francisco. Thanks to the generous participation of Chris Fu and the Anchor Distilling Company, I was able to make this delicious and refreshing drink with Hophead Vodka for all the great folks at the market. Hophead Vodka, a hop distillate made right in San Francisco, is refreshing and interesting in a tall bubbly drink. This one is perfect for those Fridays you sneak out of work just a little bit early to enjoy the sunshine... like today.

California Tonic

1.5 oz Anchor Distilling Hophead Vodka
0.5 oz Cocchi Americano
0.25 Fresh Lime Juice
1.5 oz Fever Tree Tonic Water
Lemon Verbena, fresh edible flowers and candied hops

Build in a glass and stir with lemon verbena and flowers. Garnish with candied hops.

Special thanks to CUESA and Anchor Distilling for a great evening! To read more about the event, see more photos and recipes from the other excellent bartenders, bars and restaurants at the event, take a look at these articles from our friends at SFist and Serious Eats: Drinks.
