Galangal Sour

The Galangal Sour is one of my favorites this year. I was commissioned by a new asian style bistro that has opened up in Midtown East (Sachi) to design an asian inspired cocktail menu reflecting the various asian elements in the food. From that the Galangal sour was born. Go have a try at Sachi Asian Bistro of New York City. May you imbibe well
Ingredients;
2oz Famous Grouse blended scotch
1oz Galangal-kaffir syrup
3/4oz Fresh lemon juice
3/4oz Egg white
Orange oils
Garnish; Orange twist
Prep;
Combine all ingredients in shaker cup and dry shake with no ice for a couple seconds. Then add just a few ice cubes and really go to work. Pour over new ice and add orange oils then garnish with orange twist..sip, savor and enjoy!
