Hallelujah! It’s starting to look and feel a little like Spring in my neck of the woods.
Today was the first sunny and spring-like day in FOR-EV-AH. So I had to make a cocktail (It’s Thursday) and get my butt outside. Nothing special, I just perched this simple Ginger Martini up on the porch right after I made it.
Then I drank it.
What made me think of a Ginger Martini for today?
Earlier this week marked FOUR YEARS (how time flies!) since I lost my beloved boxer, Ginger. I’ve been thinking about her a lot and I know she’d want me to remember and celebrate her life with a good stiff drink.
She was an awesome companion/best friend and knew me like the back of her paw.
This is a very simple martini to make… all you’re gonna need is ginger liqueur, vodka and a splash of lemon juice.
Cheers!
Total Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 part vodka
- 1 part ginger liqueur
- Splash of lemon juice
Instructions
- In a shaker half-full of ice, shake ingredients vigorously for at least 15 seconds. Strain into chilled martini glass.
