Each year, Thanksgiving rolls around along with its buddy Black Friday. If you've been living under a rock (cue: sad), Black Friday is a major retail holiday that's mostly celebrated in the United States and is when people go batshit crazy (usually in brick and mortar retail stores) over sales and mediocre deals that they swear they'll never see again. While most people are like "can't live without these $1 socks or these $2 wine glasses that'll break on me by tomorrow," others are flocking from alllllll over the world to Lincoln Park, Chicago to purchase Goose Island Beer Co.’s coveted Bourbon County Stout (BCS) and it’s variant at Binny’s Beverage Depot.

Each year on Black Friday, Goose Island Beer Co. blesses the world with the release of their signature bourbon barrel-aged stout along with its accompanying variants to the public. Goose Island Beer Co. has been doing such since its 2010 inception, with its 2017 release warranting a lineup of over 2,000 people to purchase the latest stout. Goose Island Beer Co.'s stout release was such a hit that some people showed up the day before Thanksgiving just to get their hands on the goods... aka the stout, you now?

For the 2018 Goose Island Beer Co. bourbon-barrel aged stout release, it will be taking place on Friday, Nov. 23 at Binny’s Beverage Depot in Lincoln Park starting at 7 a.m., which is 2 hours earlier than normal to accommodate an estimated increase in traffic.
