INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 oz. Tequila
1/2 oz. Amaro Lucano
Squeeze of Lemon
1/2 oz. Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz. Agave Syrup
2 pieces of cubed Watermelon
1 pinch of diced Bell Peppers
GARNISH:
Watermelon Skin
PREPARATION:
Fresh watermelon is one of the most appealing and refreshing ingredients for our upcoming Summer Cocktail ideas and considering that watermelon is 92% water, this is for sure the most water I have ever used in one of my drinks!
How many times have you bought a watermelon and you can't finish it all? Well I'm giving you my advice on how to not have any go to waste!
In a mixing glass place the watermelon, bell peppers, agave syrup and a squeeze of lemon and muddle it until you have a nice puree. Then add all the other ingredients along with a scoop of ice.
Shake vigorously for 5 fast seconds and then double strain and pour into a Bucket glass on the rocks, now place your garnish and voila! Now go sit on you adirondack chair, possibly by a pool and relax and enjoy!
The color is bright red and the nose surprisingly is equally dominated by the sweet watermelon and the bell pepper aromas. The taste is refreshing and really balanced. The Amaro Lucano gives it that extra kick and delicious aftertaste that makes you look forward to the next sip.
