Hot Coffee Shots!?!! Yes!

Two readers love this post.
As we all know, eventually Winter will settle in with vigor in New England and across Northern US.
I have been enjoying a coffee drink I call a "Hot Shot". The "Hot Shot" also goes by my slang name, a "50/50" Coffee Shot.
Side note: I didn't drink coffee at all until I created this amazing formula and process late one night staring at a pot of my wife's coffee, while making a late night dinner. A great bed time beverage too, by the way.
The drink is made using 50 percent extremely hot coffee and 50 percent chilled cream liqueur that I formulated using Baileys, Kahlua and Jameson
I call the mixture, Irish Dream Liqueur: (adjust the Baileys, Kahlua and Jameson formula to suit your personal taste, Then bottle it and store in fridge to have on hand.)
Side note: These are the ingredients of the first shot I dropped in the original Car Bomb ; Baileys, Kahlua and Jameson in 1978.
Procedure: pour 1 1/2 oz. of steaming hot coffee into 4-5 oz. glass. I use a small A&W root beer mug, but anything works.
Add 1 1/2 oz.+ of chilled Irish Dream Liqueur. Do NOT Stir!
Top with a bit of sweetened cream or whipped cream. The first sip will be Hot! The second sip is Warm! After two or 3 sips, pause for a toast and then down the rest, which has cooled. Hence the Hot Shot.
This is a wonderful way to begin, and then end, a Holiday evening with friends before that cold walk or ride home.
Toasting creates and recalls so many fond memories.
I have altered the Irish Dream Liqueur formula using different whiskeys and tried it with different coffees too! So have fun.
Try a "Hot Shot" or " 50/50 Coffee Shot "and then have another!
*If you just want to just enjoy a cup of alcohol laced coffee then pour a big cup and add the Irish Dream Liqueur to taste. Ahhh!
