The fine whiskey makers send used Hudson Whiskey barrels to Woods Syrup, a maple syrup producer in Vermont that ages syrup in the barrels, then sends them back to Tuthilltown. It it then they finish off their rye in the used syrup barrels adding a unique flavor to the whiskey but still leaving the great rye taste we all know and love.
